Apparently Google have been experimenting with a fading minimalist homepage that changes google.com from this...

This may not seem very exciting but it could give you über geek status, under the right circumstances, if that's what you're after. To get it working copy the following code into your browser address bar and hit enter...

Now when you go to google.com you will see the minimalist page, and when you move your mouse the normal page fades in.

I just tested the code using firefox and it worked fine. What browser and OS are you using?

What browser and OS are you using?
I use mozila firefox browser and window7 as operating system.
A number of citizens dig up this wrong from the sandbox outcome. Google dance truly is trouble-free. Google will now place your latest web site in a lofty place for a few key words.
The period in which the Google updates their rank by page ranking in every page once in a month is known as the Google dance.
